Antigua International School Inaugurates New Campus
Last Saturday (Nov. 7, 2015) hundreds of parents, children, teachers, administrators, and guests celebrated the opening of the new campus of AIS (Antigua International School).
First there was an interactive tour of the campus with classroom demonstrations and participatory opportunities including a quick marimba lesson for anyone interested.
After that there were a few short speeches, some entertainment provided by the students and the official ringing of the school bell. Fun was had by all.
The campus is beautiful and the classrooms are large and modern. There is a substantial garden area where students can grow plants and study agronomy.
The biology and physical science labs have completely equipped individual workstations.
The computer lab is fully stocked and up-to-date.
The art room has everything necessary for budding artists.
There is even a “service learning” department where the students learn how they can support the community.
And much more…
All of the teachers I talked to were excited about the new facility and ready to help their students reach their full potential.
Congratulations to the founders and facilitators in creating AIS, it is an incredible and well-needed addition to the Antigua area.
